Don't be scared to take a hit

Sorry guys for not posting in a while, its been a crazy couple of weeks. Lets start with a story from the bible- Jonah    Jonah back in the day was a modern day prophet at his time in his 'mission trip' to assure people about the living God, his word, and his promises. He was a clever man and seemed to be fearless for God was on his side... Jonah 1 1-3 NLT "The lord gave this message to Jonah son of Amittai: “Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh. Announce my judgment against it because I have seen how wicked its people are.” But Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get away from the lord . He went down to the port of Joppa, where he found a ship leaving for Tarshish. He bought a ticket and went on board, hoping to escape from the lord by sailing to Tarshish."        So a man strong in his faith with God ran away... Isn't that ironic that sometimes when the odds are against us and we are destined to do the imp...

The Sin Bin

Its been a long time since posting something new, so here it comes.       I've got a question that I know that everyone can answer- Have you ever been sent to the sin bin? I'm pretty sure everyone a answered YES.    I know from playing the game, even in Dallas; thing aren't fair when it comes to refs, usually... Everyone down in Texas  says that some refs actually ref soccer because , of how strict they can be. But the cold truth that I believe is its because of how team act and react.    there's a same type of soccer refs in the Bible.    In John 8 chapter 1 through 11 in the New Living Translation,"Jesus returned to the Mount of Olives, but early the next morning he was back again at the Temple. A crowd soon gathered, and he sat down and taught them. As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd. ...

Worship like you preach

1 Corinthians 9:22-27 NLT "When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings. Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified."    I know all of you heard the phrase 'practice like you play' from a coach, teammates, and your parents. We need to put in all of our work into God's plans no matter if its practice, training, or learn from the word of God. We are the kingdom of ...
